Datang Telecom (officially Datang Telecom Technology & Industry Group) is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment company headquartered in Beijing, China. It was founded in September 1998 by the China Academy of Telecommunication Technology. It is best known for its leading role in developing the Chinese TD-SCDMA 3G mobile telecommunications standard through subsidiary Datang Mobile.
